Who we are
Kaamdaar (kaamdaar.co.in) is run by Kaamdaar, a sole proprietorship of Anita Gupta, Udyam registration UDYAM-WB-10-0225716, Flat 3-G, 2nd Floor, Omkara-1, 196B/1, Motilal Gupta Road, Muchipara, Kolkata 700082, West Bengal, India. By using Kaamdaar you agree to these terms.
What Kaamdaar is
A place to post local jobs and receive private quotes from people nearby. We are an intermediary. The work itself is an agreement between the person who posts the job and the person who does it. People who do work through Kaamdaar are independent — they are not our employees and we do not supervise, guarantee or insure their work.
What we do not check
We do not verify anyone’s identity, qualifications, insurance or background. Profiles show what a person has done on Kaamdaar and what has gone wrong, and that record is the only information we vouch for. Decide for yourself who you let into your home, or whose home you enter.
Money for the job
You agree a price with the other person and pay it between yourselves, in cash or over UPI, when the work is done. It never passes through us. There is no escrow: nobody holds the money on your behalf, and we cannot reverse a payment we were never part of.
Credits
Credits are the only thing we charge for, and only workers use them. Sending a quote costs 1 credit, which is not refunded if someone else is chosen, and is refunded if the job ends with nobody chosen. When a poster chooses you, 5 more credits unlock their phone number, address and map pin. Prices are on the pricing page.
- Credits are a prepaid service on Kaamdaar. They have no cash value, cannot be withdrawn or transferred, and do not expire.
- Refunds follow the refund policy: failed or duplicate payments are refunded, and credits are returned when a job is cancelled by the poster after you unlocked it.
- We may change prices for future purchases. Credits already in your balance keep their value.
Free credits and sponsored messages
New accounts receive 25 free credits, and you can earn 5 more once a day by viewing a sponsored message. Both are for genuine use of Kaamdaar by one person with one account. Creating accounts to collect free credits, or automating the daily message, will get those accounts closed and their credits removed.
Using Kaamdaar fairly
- Post real jobs, and quote only on work you intend to do.
- Use someone’s phone number and address only for the job you were chosen for — not to sell to, contact or visit them for anything else.
- Do not harass, threaten or deceive anyone you meet here.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. What already happened stays on the record.
Your record
Completed jobs, ratings, disputes, cancellations and no-shows stay on your profile. We do not remove them on request, because a record that can be cleared is not a record.
Our responsibility
To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for the work agreed between users, for payments made between them, or for any loss, damage or injury arising from a job. Our total responsibility to you for anything else is limited to what you paid us for credits in the previous twelve months.
Changes and law
We will post changes to these terms on this page before they take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Kolkata have jurisdiction.
